Arduino Smart Home Monitoring and Parking System Project

Project Overview: Smart Home Monitoring and Parking System

This Arduino smart home project combines gas detection, environmental monitoring, and automated parking. It integrates multiple sensors and actuators, making it an excellent Arduino final year project or Arduino IoT beginner project.

Main Features

  1. Environmental Monitoring – DHT11 sensor measures temperature and humidity, displayed in real time on an LCD screen.
  2. Gas Detection – A gas sensor monitors for hazardous gases and triggers a servo motor alert when danger is detected.
  3. Automated Parking – An IR sensor detects vehicles and controls a servo motor gate that opens and closes automatically.
  4. Real-Time Feedback – LCD displays parking availability, temperature, and humidity for easy monitoring.

How It Works

  • DHT11 Sensor – Collects temperature and humidity.
  • Gas Sensor – Activates servo rotation when gas is detected.
  • IR Sensor – Detects car presence and triggers gate servo.
  • LCD Display – Shows parking status and environmental data.
  • Servo Motors – Control gate and provide alerts.

The setup() function initializes the LCD and sensors, while the loop() continuously monitors environmental data, gas safety, and parking status. Parking is shown as P:X (occupied) or P:Y (free).
